😅 Why is it so hard to stay consistent on social media?
Creating a system to stay consistent posting on social media can make or break your music career.
But most of us are unable to stay consistent posting longer than 1 month...
Today, I'm going to teach you how to make staying consistent easy.
Three reasons it's hard to stay consistent:
1. We overcomplicate what should be simple.
2. We don't have a system.
3. We have nothing/nobody to be accountable to.
💩 1. We overcomplicate what should be simple:
Someone important once said to me, "Stay in your lane".
I didn't understand it at the time, but looking back now I realize they meant:
Focusing on less will actually bring you more results...🔥
The main reason creative people fail is because we tend to overcomplicate things that should be simple.
Keep things simple: 👇
Instead of posting on every social platform, focus on 1-2.
You'll have the time to focus on what works on those platforms & grow faster.
Instead of posting about 5 different niches focus on 1-2.
You'll be less confusing & build a loyal fanbase.
Instead of posting daily, post 2-3 times a week.
You'll have more time to create quality content that actually helps you grow.
⚙️ 2. We don't have a system:
"Goals are about the results you want to achieve. Systems are about the processes that lead to those results."
— James Clear
Most artists don't post consistently, they only post when they have a new track coming out or something to announce.
The secret is learning to post when nothing big is going on.
Setting up a simple system (example): 👇
1. Choose your content topics.
2. Choose the days you want to film that content.
3. Choose the days you want to post the content.
4. Choose the day you want to analyze your results to tweak things for the following week.
I have a system where I organize & schedule all my content easily in a Notion planner I created. If you'd like, you can download it here. 📆
🤷 3. We have nothing/nobody to be accountable to:
To stay consistent, you need to know your "Why".
Your "Why" is what keeps you going. It's the reason why you started.
For example: My why is to make social media less frustrating for music artists. It motivates me because I know how much it means to artists to build a fanbase that truly cares about their music.
Accountability is also the other key factor...📈
It's impossible to achieve alone what you could achieve with a team.
Having a mentor & surrounding yourself with others who're on the same journey to stay consistent and help keep you on track is a game-changer.
