3 Best Ways to Release Your Music (Don't Release Before Reading This).

Should you sign your track to a label, get it supported by DJs first, or just self release it?

Here are the benefits of each:

1. BENEFITS OF SENDING TO LABELS

If you saw my post from yesterday, I explained how good labels can really boost your music career + once you get signed to a label, you start building your resume and it can be easier to get signed to another even bigger label.

2. BENEFITS OF SENDING TO DJS

Get your tracks on some big radio shows and you will almost certainly be heard by some great labels + a lot of DJs who do radio shows have their own labels, so you might get signed to those as well.

3. BENEFITS OF SELF RELEASING

If you have a good following and you know how to get supports from DJs/support channels on YouTube, etc. self releasing can be a great option. If on the other hand you want to self release a track just to “get tracks out there” but you don’t have much of a strategy, then it’s unlikely your release will be very successful.

I would say if you’re a newer artist, you should focus on 1 & 2. If you’re not sure if your music is ready for labels/DJ support, then it’s probably not ready to be self released either.

Focus on getting the quality of your music as good as possible. If you’d like my help with getting higher quality music & finding the right labels, check the link in my bio - I’d be happy to work with you.
