After 7 years, we finally launched our own record label:
Why did we do it? Let's face it: If you're an artist, labels can be frustrating.
- They rarely listen to your demos (and even more rarely reply).
- It's hard to know what they want and your tracks are often not the right "fit".
- Their contracts can be hard to understand (and sometimes unfair to artists).
- And even if you do get signed to your dream label, the marketing of the track on social media is usually your responsibility.
So keeping with tradition at TEAMMBL, we decided if we were going to start a label, we'd be very untraditional about how we operate it. Want to find out more & submit your demo? Go here.
