IS MY TRACK A GOOD FIT FOR THE LABEL?⠀
You want your track to stand out/be unique, and also fit the overall vibe of the label.⠀
⠀
DID I GET PRO FEEDBACK?⠀
Don’t send a track before getting quality feedback. I recommend getting feedback from 3-5 talented artists. If you don’t know anybody to give you feedback - We have feedback channels on my free producer Discord, and you can meet a lot of talented producers there! https://discord.com/invite/teammbl.⠀
⠀
IS THE TRACK PROPERLY MIXED/MASTERED?⠀
Labels will not sign tracks that don’t sound professional mixed/mastered. There are lots of free tutorials about this on YouTube. Also, my team can mix/master your track at: teammbl.com/mastering + you can join my mentoring team and we can teach you 1-on-1 at: https://www.teammbl.com/join ⠀
⠀
IS THIS THE BEST WAY TO SEND IT?⠀
Nothing is worse than sending your track to an email address the label doesn’t even check. Do some research/ask around before sending + make sure you send a trackable link, so you know if the label listened to your track. I also recommend checking where the label is located, and sending M-F during regular office hours and not on Holidays. ⠀
⠀
SHOULD I SEND TO DJ’S FIRST?⠀
Getting supported by DJs is on of the best ways to get signed because labels check radio shows, and are always looking for new talent + it looks great on your resume to have track supports.⠀⠀
