🤔 Have you ever noticed that the biggest videos on social media look/sound similar?
What if I told you there was a secret formula to creating viral content?
After you read this, you'll be able to use the formula to enhance your content and get your music heard...
👇 Let's do this:
🧪 The 5 ingredients of viral content revealed:
🌪️ 1. Make it a new twist on something familiar:
Most new trending content is just a twist on something people already know...
It could be a twist on:
- Trending edits.
- Trending ideas, movies, references, etc.
- Trending audios.
People feel more comfortable connecting with a new person when they have something in common.
🔥 How to use this tip:
- Create a new version of an existing trend but from your POV.
- Remix of a popular song but in your style.
🫵 2. Make it for a specific audience:
When people see your content, they should react in 1 of 2 ways...
Either:
- This is for me.
- This is not for me.
This is because people engage more with content that feels like it's "so them".
It might seem like a good idea to make your content appealing to everyone, but this can actually end up making it appealing to no one.
🔥 How to use this tip in your content:
- Decide who your content is for (examples: producers wanting to improve their skills, partygoers wanting music to rave to, travelers looking for relaxing road trip music, etc).
- Create your content with a specific viewer in mind.
- Don't worry about pleasing everybody.
✅ 3. Utilize your personality/purpose:
As we've discussed, people love new versions of what's familiar (this is why there are so many new versions/sequels of popular movies).
Your artist brand and authentic personality is what make any content you create new/fresh even if it's just your version of an existing trend.
🔥 How to use this tip in your content:
- Ask yourself what is the word(s) that sets you apart from other similar other artists? (Ex. serious, funny, your location, etc).
- Do you want to entertain, educate, inspire/motivate?
- Bring those into your content.
👀 4. Use a combination of hooks:
Trending content usually uses 3 types of hooks to grab your attention.
1. You move physically to hook a viewer:
This could be anything from jumping, running up to the camera, waving your hand, etc.
2. Words written on the screen:
Written hooks should either be bold statements or questions that make a viewer want to stay and watch to find the answer here are 20+ hooks you can use!
3. Unbelievable or Cool shot:
If someone sees something that is really cool - they will stop scrolling. This could be a cool shot from your balcony or even an aesthetically pleasing studio. It could also be something really interesting like a unique camera angle on your face.
🔥 How to use this tip in your content:
- Use 1-3 of these hooks to get the attention of your target audience.
💬 5. Choose one specific call-to-action (CTA):
Before you click "share”, you should always have a clear call-to-action in your caption.
Do you want them to share, save, or comment?
Of course, you want them to do all of the above, but having 1 main call to action will help better ensure that action happens.
🔥 How to use this tip in your content:
- Ask yourself, would you share, save, or comment on your post?
- Ask yourself, how can you emphasize this more when making your content?
